foreign-allocate (clisp), allocate-foreign-object and malloc 
(lispworks), foreign-alloc. Hmm.. I like them all.

But James is the guy in charge of API naming. :-)

I'm all for changing and picking the Right Names anyway. This is the 
time to do it.
