Must be some kind of  archive format compatibility problem.  Since we
create ordinary FAT filesystem archives currently, I do not think that
the choice of operating system would matter.

WinZIP is known to handle our archives just fine.

Is source code for FilZip available anywhere, or can you reproduce the
problem with any other open source program?
