[slime-devel] Slime frequently getting disconnected

I updated my SLIME recently from cvs and now it gets disconnected
rather frequently, with the following message:

;; Connection to Emacs lost. [

This is SBCL 0.9.11 on a powerbook, with Emacs built about a month ago from cvs.

Any ideas on what I might do to stop this happening, or to find more
details on what the problem is?
