[slime-devel] Not connected with Slime 1.2

I have bought down version 1.2 and set it up to use GNU CLISP 2.33.2 (as in 
"clisp -K full" in my .emacs file) but I am having a problem:
I start emacs and type M-x slime
Everything is good...for awhile
After a random amount of time I get a "Not Connected" message and have to 
restart slime.  Everything looks the same as when slime was first started.  
Is there any other setting that I should be using to keep slime running?
