Lisp distributions, I would highly suggest quicklisp (
http://www.quicklisp.org/). In general my impression has been that
lisp-boxes are very poorly supported (probably because experienced Lispers
don't use them), whereas quicklisp has a very active community (and has
attracted many older Lispers).
