Ok, that was not really polite. They contacted me, suggested that they
would try to make a common effort with all maintainers involved and
they took their own path or saying a word...

Me too, but I have found serious problems with the current test suite.
For instance, expected accuracy, too limited tests for certain
functions, and conditionalization on our implementation that has
become obsolete.
