[Ecls-list] ecl 12.12.1 doesn't start up correctly...

I downloaded the source tar ball, so there shouldn't be stale fasls in there. But to double-check, I now indeed did a make clean and rebuilt everything again. I also remove all fasl files from the caches. However, none of this seems to have any effect.
