The link I meant was the one for humans on the project page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ecls/

If that will update automatically, then indeed it's probably only
lagging behind still.

I could adapt the package, thanks (I had to tell pkgsrc that the suffix
was now .tgz)

That's fine, and a script should make it consistent for the future
