Note that I attempted to cross compile to Maemo, not Symbian. Maemo is a
Debian Linux-based platform, whereas Symbian is not Linux-based at all, as
far as I know.

Cross compiling for the ARM was described as a non-trivial process back in

No updates from me. I haven't had time to come back to this.
