6.8 might work fine for you. I do not recall that we use any new
feature from 7.1 except performance. Do not believe the webpage,
though, it is quite out of date: they are now moving to 7.2!

I would like to debug it, but NetBSD is refusing to run in VirtualBox
for several years now. I will see if the new version, (3.0) fixes the
problem.
