In my case ECL is compiled with Unicode support. I suppose that 
due to some error, wrong function is called, for example si::do-write-sequence,
instead of flexi-stream's one. Note, that when flexi-streams are compiled
without optimization declarations, error does not occurs.

I'll try to track it down, maybe today at evening.
