...seems to work just fine, at least for some examples, by taking the
source code from Christophe Rhode's page
http://common-lisp.net/~crhodes/clx (darcs repo) and applying the
patches attached. May someone else confirm this?

P.S: I have only tested the single-threaded version, but the patches
contain changes for multithreaded ECL.
