Thanks, I'll give it a try -- but as I said, I still need to
understand the differences in implementations anyway.

I believe that is a good idea -- I did not imply otherwise.  But,
there are many good ideas that need to be done to that system, and
ASDF is not on the top of the TODO stack at this moment.
I did not mean to imply it was not a good idea.
Juts that there were many good ideas a single person has to try out :-)
