Thanks for doing this. I have skimmed over the already written parts of
the manual and it looks very well written, esp. the focus on the actual
implementation. I hope it helps getting more people to hack (and use) ECL.

The layout is nice, too. :)

I would agree, that a separate doc package is a practical solution.
