I do not know if Giusseppe will participate on this, although I know
that his group is working on alternative implementations of lisp and
it seems that this work caught his interest. However, if not
Giusseppe, other developers from the original ECL project have shown
their interest on contributing.

In any case what this does mean is that we become the active
maintainers of the ECL implementation, with other sources becoming
outdated.
