[Ecls-list] ECLS compiles and runs on PPC/Linux

Great news!

The top of the CVS tree seems to compile and run on a RS/6000 with
PowerPC architecture and Debian Linux.

Since the PPC is one of the wierdest architectures with respect to call 
conventions and stack growth, this means that ECLS should now portable to 
almost any processor. This also means that time for a bugfix release is
close.

The bad news is that the Sparc port is stalled and I can spend little
time on it. Maybe anyone with direct access to Sparc hardware would like
to work on this.
