Unable to load cffi-libffi in Debian jessie

I don't use Debian but I assume it comes with cl-lib packages (which
maybe outdated).
I'd try it with quicklisp (which is something like a cl software
distribution system). That way you have updated versions of many many
libs at your fingertip. Just google for it. It is very easy to
install.
