gradual type checking is a hybrid method conceived by siek and taha. im
learning about it now, its quite interesting. i dont know if i could give
a talk on it, yet. its something that ivan raikov and i were discussing
earlier today.

ive started putting together notes, so ill let you know about it. i was going
to talk on it specifically as it applies to chicken, and some interesting
properties and places to go with it.

that makes good sense. i havent yet given any academic talks (well, besides
a crap one about FUNK (functional fuzzer in scheme) to get my current
(hopefully soon to be previous) job, which would be WAY under the level of
people going to the lisp users group), so i have nothing prepared in advance.
i should be able to make the next talk if my plane isnt running late ... ill
be in milwaukee that weekend visiting my grandfather to take some pressure off
my parents.
