I invited RMS for a talk, and he politely declines for what I suspect
is a correct reason, having trying to discuss technique with him in
the past.

I have more, not less, problems with free software than with proprietary
software! Because the few problems I have with proprietary software are all
showstoppers; with free software, they get solved, until the next one shows up.

I would be honored if you would agree to speak there about a technical
topic of your choice relevant to lisp hacking or programming language
implementation, if you have time for that between free software
conferences.
I would be glad to participate, but I am not sure I can speak about
a technical topic of current interest. It has been years since I
kept up with technical developments.
