a public repo is very open to dos attacks and other security
issues. i've no problem doing this on a machine i control (i may have
problems but i think the gain out weight the risk), however i don't
want to create more problems for erik than he already has. if he
thinks this is ok i'll do it on cl.net, otherwise i'll need to move
the repo over to uncommon-web.com.
