Erm what? Do you or do you not recur with this syntax?

What does "inheriting a configuration" mean?

I'm confused. Which of those options does what I want?

Why can't I just say something like this?

export CL_SOURCE_REGISTRY=

or something similar, which just leaves this setting empty?
