I have a theory.

There are two mboxes, one with emails prior to the move to
common-lisp.net which contains emails dating back to olden
days. Another one with current mails. At some point we
batch-regenerated all archives on the site, so these went missing. I'm
regenerating the archives right now to see if that makes them
reappear. I think the right thing to do would be to merge the two
mboxes.
