OK, nobody has asked, but here's the answer anyway: RTFM where it says
(right at the beginning) that you should use SEND-HEADERS "if you want
to serve very large static files."

SEND-HEADERS has been in there since 2005 (version 0.9.0) and it is
used in HANDLE-STATIC-FILE (html.lisp) as well as in the UTF-8
example.
