[slime-devel] patch to make ecl work again

Hello,

ecl+slime doesn't seem to have worked for a while, so I cobbled together a
minimal threads implementation that seems to work, and I can do basic stuff
again. I'm not certain what the policy is on contributions/patches, nor how
most people read here, so I'm including it both as an attachment and as a
link.

Is there anything I should do in the future?
