[slime-devel] Automatically start SLIME? (noob alert)

Total EMACS/SLIME noob here, so please forgive if I'm asking a dumb
question, or asking it in the wrong place.

I only ever use emacs with SLIME, so I would like to know if it is
possible to automatically load SLIME when I load EMACS.

Actually, what would be nice is if I could use an alias or a script
(called, say, SLIME (!)) to start up SLIME within emacs.
