One thing I miss in CVS is that it doesn't work over http (at least I am
not aware of such a CVS feature). If I am behind a firewall that only
allows http, I still can use darcs, i.e.:

 darcs get htp://someplace.com/darcs-repo

Is there any way to do this with CVS?
