[slime-devel] loading swank into a running slime

when using the latest slime on OpenMCL is was successfully able to 
start and use slime, however executinng (asdf:oos 'asdf:load-op :swank) 
failed on errors regarding the redefinition of generic functions as 
"regular" functions. namely all of those functions defined via 
definterface in swank-backend which were then defined via defslimefun 
or defslimefun-unimplemented in swank-openmcl.lisp (which makes sense 
considering how these macro are defiened). what still seems odd is that 
M-x slime was able to successfully compile and load everything. anyway, 
if someone hasn't already done this i can send a simple patch which 
removes the incorrect forms and updates swank-openmcl to use 
defimplementation where approriate.
