So you mean that Javascript will eventually become faster than C? If so, 
then its not a problem unique to Common Lisp.

As far as IDEs go, the only thing that you have been implying is that 
SLIME doesn't "look" modern (i.e. doesn't use your native GUI toolkits). 
While an IDE written that way would have some advantages, its not a big 
issue for me. Unless, of course, you have something more substantial to say.
