Indeed, the "Lisp is as old as the dinosaurs" is a real problem,
and they really didn't stand that way.

What we need is something that connotes power, since Lisp
is a powerful language, and we need something that really
does stand that way.  How about Godzilla?

Unforunately, not too many images of him are taken
from the side; the best I found is:

and it doens't really solve the "dinosaur" problem.
I'd still go for the "alien technology" guy.  I won't
