Stuck trying to get this to build in AppVeyor, think it's related to the TrueType setup error in Windows

Sent this message earlier, but I wasn't sure if it showed up without
subscribing to the mailing list as I didn't see it show up on the page, so I
subscribed and sent it again

Tried wrapping it in handler-case but it doesn't seem to be working on
AppVeyor
