line thickness

I should like to reset the line thickness element of (medium-line-style 
*some-pane*)
without essentially copying its other elements as arguments to 
(make-line-style new-one),
making new-one's thickness my desired value, and then executing
(setf (medium-line-style *some-pane*) new-one).

I have a copy of the CLIM2 UG (ver 2.2.2 2005) and have not managed to 
discover a direct
way to do this. Probably I'm not looking in the right place.
