[gsharp-devel] changing VCS to git

Hi,

Would there be any objections to converting the current CVS repository
of gsharp to git?  The motivation is that, at $WORK, there are a few
development branches that might be long-lived and not immediately
mergeable, yet might end up having cherry-pickable things of value, and
dealing with merging that stuff is likely to be much easier with a VCS
that actually supports it.  It will also make it easier for us to
publish work in progress, and so on.

Absent any objections, I'll aim to make that change in the first week of
February.
