Thanks.  1.0.10 shows the same behaviour while 1.0.6 seem to do better
wrt to SBCL and FFI:

Loading /usr/local/lib/db45/libdb-4.5.so

debugger invoked on a SIMPLE-ERROR:
  Error opening shared object "/usr/local/lib/db45/libdb-4.5.so":
  /lib/libpthread.so.2: Undefined symbol "__usleep".

This seem more related to libdb and threading.
