...but i don't really want to influence your decision because it's
none of my business! i also offer to convert the cvs repo to git if
that's your decision (although i didn't use git before, but i guess it
shouldn't be that different).

but recent versions of tailor have some problems with cvs conversion
and i had to unpull a few patches to make it work. and now that it
works fine here, i tought i offer some help, even if it's as little as
running tailor on the cvs repo.
