[Ecls-list] A question while compiling ECL

Dear All,
I've tried to compile ECL on my computer running Ubuntu 12.10 x64
after
./configure and make
it gave me the message below:

Condition of type: UNBOUND-VARIABLE
The variable C::+DEFAULT-MACHINE+ is unbound.
No restarts available.

and then enter the TOP-LEVEL,

I don't know what happened and cannot find any useful information online so
I decided to ask here.
