[Ecls-list] Calling cl_boot() from Qt plugin (Win XP, Vista only)

Just to be clear:
Calling cl_boot() from a Qt plugin works fine on Linux, OSX, Windows 7.

But it crashes on Windows XP, Vista if called from a plugin.
Simply calling GC_init() crashes too.

Is there some GC setting I could try to make it work?
