[Ecls-list] clx & contribs upstream questions

I noticed that clx included in ecl repo as a contrib contains a lot of
ecl specific stuff.

What is the reason for not pushing those patches upstream to "official clx"?

I suppose official clx is the one at
http://common-lisp.net/~crhodes/clx (this one is listed in clbuild).
As a side question, if those ecl patches got accepted, what is the
reason to include clx at all, and not use upstream one?

Also, why is clx source under src, and not with other contribs?
