ECL is used in the Sage project
http://www.sagemath.org/
which has a mission of creating a viable open-source alternative to
the expensive mathematics programs like Mathematica, Maple, MATLAB and
Macsyma.
Sun Microsystems have kindly donated a 16-core Sun T5240 to the
University of Washington for the purposes of the Sage project. Access
can be granted to those that want to test their software on Solaris
hardware, if that software is used in Sage. This Sun uses the SPARC
processors, not the usual x86 types.
Hence if you wish to add a Solaris 10 machine to you build farm, drop
me an email. Access would be via ssh. In addition, it will be possible
to provide access to another Sun, which runs OpenSolaris in a virtual
machine.
At present I am unable to build ecl successfully on Solaris myself.
