- The _XOPEN_SOURCE flag is now only defined in package.d and
threads.d This should alleviate previous problems with certain missing
functions.

- The structure of array, vector and string objects has changed to
speed up finding out the element type. Now they all have a field
called elttype.

- Minor optimizations of ecl_aset/aref with some speedup of generic
array access.
