I'm glad that some people find ABCL useful. As it happens, Maxima
is a large and idiosyncratic program, so it is a hard test for any
compiler. In attempting to compile Maxima with ABCL, I ran into
at least one minor bug in ABCL and at least one major bug.
After much pain and suffering I compiled all of it, but the resulting
program fails many of the tests in the Maxima test suite.
This experience is enough to put me off ABCL. Perhaps your
luck is better.
