As far as I could see, this is a CFFI-related variable, so you should
probably report
the problem to CFFI developers. While you're at it, I noticed a typo in
the same file
at the FOREIGN-FUNCTION-INLINE-FORM definition, where the
feature-enabler
should be #-dffi and not #-dfii.

I tried to compile http://members.aon.at/lispolos/ with ECL but
get stuck on CFFI issue. As far as I see in
http://common-lisp.net/project/cffi/darcs/cffi/src/cffi-ecl.lisp the
*callbacks* variable is used in %defcallback macro and in %callback
function but is never defined. I'm new to that stuff, so I'm not sure
where is the right place to report this...
