[Ecls-list] Missing symbols when embedding a static lib into aFAS file

This indeed avoids the problem, but is not a solution (at least for me).
The fact is that I don't know if what I'm trying to do is supposed to
work or not. The strange thing is that this problem only appears under
Linux (with GCC), it works OK under Windows with MSVC6...
