The last release is from 2001, but there have been some CVS commits:
12 in 2002, 4 in 2003 and 1 in 2005.
I've looked at "Bit", too. It is a really small solution, but it
consists of a bytecode generator and a bytecode interpreter (wich needs
only 17.5 KB when compiled). I think that interpreted bytecode is too
slow for me and 17.5 KB is too big for the runtime library.
