It seems that FC3 does not like this version of the GMP library. You can
either install this library yourself in a publicly accessible directory
(i.e /usr, /usr/local, etc) and build with --with-system-gmp=yes.

On the other hand, I did not have problems building ECL in a FC4/x86.
