Hi,

I have set up an automatic build process on several machines of
Sourceforge. Roughly, there are the following ones:

    FreeBSD/x86
    NetBSD/x86
    Linux(Fedora Core 2)/x86
    Linux(Fedora Core 3)/AMD64
    Mac OSX 10.2 Server Edition
    Linux(Debian 3.0)/Alpha
    Open Solaris/x86

plus two other machines of my own

    Linux(Red Hat 9.0)/x86
    Linux(Red Hat 9.0)/x86 multithreaded

Builds only take place once a week, and on different days for different
machines, so as not to overload the compiler farm. The status of the
different builds is recorded and each build is tested against Paul
Dietz's test suite -- I will be adding other tests through the months,
probably including external programs if time permits (cl_ppcre, uffi, etc)

The status page is located at

    http://ecls.sourceforge.net/status.html

I am reporting this to the mailing list, but this webpage should be
taken with a grain of salt: many small incidences (for instance, out of
date CVS trees, minor problems with Sourceforge, etc) may break the
build process and still the port be a valid one. Missing lines means
that the automatic build process has not yet been activated on that
particular machine.

It would be nice if other people could contribute with additional
machines or configuration setups and build ECL regularly. If anybody
wants I can provide you with shell scripts and you would only need to
provide me with an HTTP address from which my bot can download the test
results.

Regards,

Juanjo
