[cxml-devel] cxml character handling issue?

I'm trying to use cl-xmpp wich uses cxml.  I believe there may be an
issue within cxml.

The problem arises results from this call:

(defvar connection (xmpp:connect :hostname "jabber.org"))

This appears to be an issue only on cmucl.  I'm using version 19b.
