Doing

(qt:ensure-smoke :qtcore)
(qt:ensure-smoke :qtgui)

(ql:quickload :qt-tutorial)

and finally

(qt-conv:main)

results in the following errors:

Ok, so maybe I am running into issues as described on "Known issues",
"Callbacks from threads" - am I?
