I am a Masters student at N.U.I. Maynooth, Ireland and a large part of my thesis involves analysing midi-files. All of my work is carried out using Stella. I am encountering problems trying to markov-analyse rhythm and was wondering if anyone managed to markov analyse rhythm successfully. When I map rhythm and create a cyclic stream based on that data the results are fine i.e. 0.25 for a sixteenth note and 1 for a quater note. When I then Markov-analyse this information however, it returns values 16 and 1. Unfortunately these values represent seconds and therefore do not give a true representation of the rhythm of the piece. Would you have any suggestions or comments about this problem or could you recommmend any other CLM Forums. Thanking you in advance, Steve. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends.
