[cl-xmpp-devel] Proper way of getting the presence type

Allright, I'll just dig in and change whatever I need. Not sure how  
useful my patches would be but I won't care about it for now.

I noticed a few problems like subscription requests not getting to  
me. I'll dig deep and fix things up.
