[cl-typesetting-devel] Line breaking algorithm?

What algorithm does cl-typesetting use for computing line breaks? I 
looked at fit-lines and it was a bit daunting. Is it TeX's algorithm? 
Something better? Something worse? Or something different and believed 
to be just as good?
